Family Budget account deletion

Use this page to request deletion of your Family Budget account and the cloud data associated with that account.

Who this applies to

Family Budget can be used in free local mode without an account. If you only use free local mode, LilGenius Labs does not receive your household budget or expense data. You can delete local data inside the app from Settings by choosing Delete Local Data, or by uninstalling the app / clearing app storage on your device.

If you created an optional cloud sign-in account for Family Budget, you can request account deletion using the steps below.

How to request account deletion

1. Email [email protected] from the email address used for your Family Budget account.
2. Use the subject line Family Budget account deletion request.
3. Include the email address used to sign in to Family Budget and confirm that you want the account deleted. Do not send passwords, payment details, or full financial records in the email.

What data is deleted

When we process an account deletion request, we delete or disable the Family Budget cloud account and cloud records that we control and can identify as associated with that account, including:

• Account identifiers used for Family Budget sign-in, such as email address and authentication user ID.
• Household membership records and pending invitation records associated with the account.
• Cloud household budget data, budget categories, expense transactions, dates, amounts, and optional remarks where the requesting account is authorized to request deletion.

If a cloud household is shared with other members, some household records may be retained for the remaining members unless the household owner or all authorized members request deletion, or unless applicable law requires deletion.

What may be retained

We may retain limited records when required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or to document that a deletion request was completed. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten or purged.

Deletion timing

We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete verified account deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or technical reasons. Backup deletion may take up to 90 days.
